Individual therapy focused on developing coping skills, improving communication with peers and adults, and improving relationships with others. Clinicians use relationship-based approach between children and parents and flexible integration of different treatment modalities to treat the primary area(s) of concern. Clinicians specialize in working with children ages 3-18, covering areas such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and attachment problems.
Main therapies include Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Infant-Toddler Mental Health framework, Play therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral, and ARC framework (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency). In addition to direct assessment and treatment with child/teen, clinicians will collaborate with other professionals involved with family to ensure child and family are receiving support that is needed.
If you are experiencing more chaotic days than calm days, going through daily meltdowns or power struggles, maybe it is time for a parenting reset. While child therapy is ideal in many situations, today more than ever, parents are often feeling alone in their journey to help their child with challenges and are not sure where to even begin when it comes to making some changes. It is possible for things to feel different.
